HelloGuest provides a platform for businesses to manage guest feedback and facilitate the collection of reviews via QR codes and direct links. Our service includes integration with the Google Business Profile API to display and manage your public business data.

2. Google API & Third-Party Relationship

Independence: HelloGuest is an independent software provider. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with Google LLC.

Compliance: Users of our service must adhere to the Google Business Profile Third-Party Policy.

User Responsibility: You are responsible for ensuring that your use of HelloGuest to solicit reviews complies with the local laws and platform-specific terms of any review site you use.

3. Anti-Review Gating Policy

In accordance with Google’s strict policies, you agree that you will not use HelloGuest to "gate" reviews.

No Filtering: You shall not use our service to discourage or prohibit negative reviews or to selectively solicit reviews from only satisfied customers.

Transparent Feedback: All guests must be given a clear, unhindered path to leave public feedback regardless of their reported experience.

Violation: Any attempt to use HelloGuest for review gating may result in immediate termination of your account to protect our API standing.

4. User Accounts and Security

OAuth Access: We use Google OAuth 2.0 for secure access to your Business Profile. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account credentials.

Account Accuracy: You must provide accurate information regarding your business locations and ownership.

5. Data Usage and Ownership

Your Content: You retain ownership of all feedback and data generated by your business.

Our License: You grant HelloGuest a limited license to process this data solely for the purpose of providing the service and generating analytics for your dashboard.

Privacy: Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any fraudulent or illegal activity.
• Attempt to scrape data from Google or other users via our platform.
• Misrepresent your affiliation with HelloGuest or Google.

7. Limitation of Liability

HelloGuest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss of business, Google account suspension, or changes in search rankings resulting from the use of our service.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to our relationship with third-party API providers.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which HelloGuest is registered.
